Happy Friday, Ole Miss fans!
Game day is almost here, as the No. 18 Rebels are just a day away from taking on Arkansas in Oxford. Ole Miss is looking for its third straight win, while the Razorbacks head into the game on a two-game winning streak as well. It will likely come down to the Rebels’ ability to execute in short-yardage situations, something they’ve struggled with this season.
Here are four things to know:
- Unlike a year ago, Ole Miss is as healthy as it could hope for heading into a showdown against Arkansas. Greg Ostendorf of ESPN has a preview of Saturday’s contest.
- RedCupRebellion.com did a nice piece analyzing how the Rebels use of tight ends helps to open up the entire offense.
- Ole Miss running back Akeem Judd has made his presence felt more over the past two games, and it’s been a long time coming. He transferred from junior college last season but was forced to redshirt because of injury. Now, he’s making an impact in the Rebels’ ground game. Here’s a feature from Chuck Rounsaville of the Ole Miss Spirit.
- Ole Miss basketball held an exhibition game Thursday. The Rebels won handily, but coach Andy Kennedy wasn’t happy with his team’s defense, writes Daniel Paulling of the Clarion-Ledger.
