Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly only had to wait three days and 252 picks to hear his name called in the 2017 NFL Draft.
What did that moment feel like for Kelly and his family? Let this photo describe the joy.

Earlier Saturday, this was the scene of Kelly in front of the TV. I would’ve gotten tired of waiting too.

Though Kelly was drafted in the spot called Mr. Irrelevant, we’re fairly certain Kelly will be anything but that as he gets his opportunity to showcase his talent for the Denver Broncos, who have two other young QBs in Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch.
Kelly passed for 6,800 yards and 50 touchdowns in his two seasons in Oxford, though his final season was cut short by a torn ACL. Kelly also sustained a wrist injury during his pro day that cut short that workout.
After all that he’s been through, including the off-field issues that forced his departure from Clemson, this is another hurdle for him to overcome.
But he has that chance, and we wish him the best of luck.
