Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly is a legitimate contender for the Heisman Trophy entering the 2016 college football season and a grassroots campaign in support of him has started using some bumper stickers featuring his nickname “Swag.”
Kelly earned the nickname in high school when it was used in a rap about him.

Kelly threw for more than 4,000 yards and 31 touchdowns last season and also ran for 10 more scores and 500 yards. Those are the kinds of numbers that lead to a Heisman campaign kicking up in the preseason the following year.
Bovada recently gave Kelly 16-1 odds of winning the Heisman, ranking him tied for seventh on its list of preseason contenders. Kelly was asked about the bumper sticker campaign at SEC Media Days on Thursday and he responded in a way you might expect of a senior leader.
“I think it should say Ole Miss for SEC championship,” Kelly told Daniel Paulling of the Clarion-Ledger.
