Offensive lineman prospect Eli Acker announced his commitment to Ole Miss on Saturday via Twitter after receiving a scholarship offer from the Rebels.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound native of Columbus, Miss., is the first prospect to commit to Ole Miss for the 2020 national recruiting cycle.
“Ole Miss feels like home to me,” Acker told the Ole Miss Spirit‘s David Johnson. “I was shocked when Coach [Jacob] Peeler offered me. It is my first offer.”
Acker was also considering Arkansas prior to receiving an offer from the Rebels, according to his 247Sports recruiting profile.
The lineman told the Ole Miss Spirit that he was visiting his grandparents on Saturday in Oxford, as well as his older sister, who is enrolled at Ole Miss.
