Things are not going well for the New York Giants.
After benching longtime starter Eli Manning and then losing anyway on Sunday, the Giants fired coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese on Monday.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter subsequently reported that the Giants will go back to Manning as their starter in their game Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
Giants are going back to Eli Manning as their starting quarterback, per @JordanRaanan.

To say New York handled this situation poorly would be an understatement. Manning, an Ole Miss alum, had started 210 games in a row, only to be benched by a coach who would get fired, only to be reinserted into the starting role a week later. Credit to Manning for not wanting to start for the sake of the streak and then be removed during the game. But to be benched for a basically meaningless game and then start the next one has to be brutal for him.
The Giants are a mess.
