Can Ole Miss force a flip?
Well, coach Hugh Freeze is at least trying.
Freeze, wide receivers coach Grant Heard and co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach Jason Jones came through New Orleans to visit with four-star Florida State cornerback commit Kyle Meyers early Tuesday morning.
Meyers committed to the Seminoles back in June, but has generated interest from a host of SEC schools since, including LSU and Ole Miss.
Freeze decided to show up and make a personal pitch to the Holy Cross High School standout as the Rebels have secured just one cornerback commitment in their 2016 recruiting class.
Meyers, a 6-foot, 170-pound prospect, has been one of the best at his position in the state over the past two seasons.
The No. 16 prospect in Louisiana and the No. 28 cornerback in the country, however, is firmly entrenched as a Seminoles commit.
Meyers is scheduled to officially visit Florida State this weekend.
