Former Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze has always been known for his inspirational, faith-based Twitter messages– even through his NCAA investigation and scandal that left him resigning from his post prior to the 2017 season.
But we won’t be seeing those anymore. At least not until 2018 sometime.
On Monday morning, Freeze took to Twitter to announce that he was logging off Twitter for the rest of the year and to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.
But that’s not all. Freeze followed his well wishes to his Twitter followers by reaching out to his former players for something a little more personal. “You each made me better,” he wrote. “Our family is grateful for you.”

Perhaps this is Freeze’s step toward putting his most recent controversies behind him in an effort to reconcile what happened and perhaps move a step closer to returning to coaching in the future.
For now, Freeze, like the rest of us, awaits the fate of his former football program and any sanctions or show causes stipulations that may come out of an impending NCAA investigation.
