A pair of Ole Miss players could be closer to returning to the field after Tuesday. That’s when Hugh Freeze says he will evaluate the status of receiver Derrick Jones and offensive lineman Jeremy Liggins. He added that the Ball is in the players’ court.
“They have to do what I’ve asked to be reinstated,” Freeze said during a press conference on Monday.
Liggins was listed as the starter at left tackle earlier in the year but was suspended at the start of fall camp for an unspecified “violation of team standards.” He returned to practice a few weeks ago, but has yet to play a snap.
