The summer can be long for college football teams. But in about a month, teams will return to the field for training camp and practices. And in about two months there will be games.
Glorious, glorious games.
It is hard not to get excited about that prospect. Especially with the group of first-week games on the slate for many teams.
Ole Miss already seems to be getting excited for its game against Florida State at the Camping World Kickoff in Orlando.
Ole Miss equipment manager Ken Crain has the first big job of the offseason in preparing for that game: Ironing on the patches the teams will wear on their jerseys to commemorate the game.
He can begin that job with the shipment he just received Tuesday:

That should make the college football season a little more real, shouldn’t it?
The Rebels will take on the Florida State Seminoles in what could virtually be a road game for them to start the season on Labor Day, Sept. 5. The Seminoles have already sold out their allotment of tickets for the game and Orlando has become a hub of Florida State activity in the state. The Seminoles held their spring game at Camping World Stadium this past season while Doak Campbell Stadium was undergoing renovations in Tallahassee.
There should still be a strong Ole Miss contingent for this game, but it could be a very garnet and gold day in Orlando for the team.
