Willie Gay committed to Ole Miss back in mid-June, but like many recruits across the nation in his shoes, he still plans to take his official visits this fall, despite his commitment.
That news obviously won’t have Rebels fans feeling comfortable about his status with the program until those visits are over and he remains committed to the program. Needless to say, there will probably be plenty of temptation for the nation’s the No. 11 outside linebacker in the 2017 recruiting class to change his mind. (rankings from 247Sports Composite).
Gay shared his plans for official visits on Twitter.

Ole Miss fans should at least feel good that he is saving the final visit for the program he committed to. So Hugh Freeze and his staff will get the final opportunity to wow him.
He’s also visiting Florida on Nov. 12, but the most interesting visit might come when he heads to Mississippi State on Nov. 5. Gay is a Starkville native and the lure of staying home to play ball and go to school might prove powerful. It will be interesting to see how those visits go and where things stand at the end of the regular season.
