Four-star tight end Jacob Mathis pledged his commitment to Ole Miss on Wednesday, giving the Rebels another offensive playmaker.
Mathis chose the Rebels over Alabama, Michigan and Stanford.
The 6-foot-3, 223-pounder officially visited Ole Miss last weekend, and the Rebels have had all the momentum since.
With Ole Miss returning tight end Evan Engram in 2016, Mathis will have a talented veteran to learn from during his freshman season.
The Berkeley Prep (Tampa, Fla.) product is the No. 13 tight end in the nation and the No. 47 player in the state of Florida. Mathis played in the Under Armour All-America Game in January.
