Ole Miss coach Matt Luke: QB Shea Patterson’s recovery will take 3-4 months

Shea Patterson’s season may be over, but the Ole Miss quarterback’s recovery process has not been completely set.

Patterson’s injured right knee will be immobilized for the next 2-3 weeks, and then another X-ray will be taken to determine surgery options, Rebels coach Matt Luke told reporters, including Antonio Morales of The Clarion-Ledger, at his Monday press conference.

Luke also said that Patterson’s recovery process should take 3-4 months.

Patterson suffered the injury during Ole Miss’ 40-24 loss to LSU this past Saturday. The sophomore was 10 of 23 for 116 yards and 3 interceptions against the Tigers in his final game of the season.

In his second year, Patterson threw for 2,259 yards and 17 touchdowns. He has 3,139 yards and 23 touchdowns over his first two seasons with the Rebels.
