Ole Miss defensive back Tony Conner is “about 60 percent” healthy, according to coach Hugh Freeze.
Conner, who tore his meniscus against Alabama on Sept. 19, returned to action two weeks ago against Arkansas, and Freeze said he held up fairly well.
There was some swelling in the knee, according to Freeze, and Conner was held out of practice during the Rebels’ bye week. The Batesville, Miss., native returned to practice yesterday and will play this Saturday against LSU.
“There are certain things he feels fine about, certain things he doesn’t,” Freeze told reporters Monday. “We’ll try to manage that in packages where he can help us be successful and ask him to do something where he feels fairly good about what he’s doing.”
Conner totaled four tackles in his return against the Razorbacks, including 0.5 tackles for loss.
