Ole Miss defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche will not play against Texas A&M, according to Holly Rowe of ESPN.
Nkemdiche passed all of his concussion protocol tests this week, but he woke up this morning with headaches.
Earlier today, Freeze told the SEC Network that he was “optimistic” that Nkemdiche would be available to play, but the Rebels will have to fill the void without him. Redshirt freshman Breeland Speaks got the start in Nkemdiche’s place.
Nkemdiche, who is regarded as a potential top-5 NFL draft pick if he declares after the season, has 17 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and four quarterback hurries through Ole Miss’ first seven games.
