Ole Miss expects Laremy Tunsil decision from NCAA early next week
An announcement on Laremy Tunsil’s eligibility is coming next week. Ole Miss expects to hear from the NCAA about its junior offensive lineman, and will brief the rest of the country on the situation soon.
ESPN’s Laura Rutledge broke the news on SEC Nation Saturday morning.
Tunsil has yet to play for the Rebels this season, which is the result of an ongoing NCAA investigation related to abuse of rental car privileges.
Ole Miss figured it would hear back from Indianapolis this past week.
“From what I know, which is limited, I would think he is going to be back with us at some point,” coach Hugh Freeze said on Monday (via Ben Garrett).
Rutledge originally reported that Ole Miss had already heard word from the NCAA, but later clarified that it expects to hear a verdict early next week.
Hugh Freeze received word yesterday that he should get answer from NCAA on Laremy Tunsil's eligibility early next week. Doesn't have it yet.
