Ole Miss is one of the final four schools in the running for former Texas Tech point guard C.J. Williamson.
The former 3-star recruit announced his top four choices on Twitter Friday evening. The Rebels made the list, along with Virginia Tech, North Carolina-Wilimington and Florida Gulf Coast.

It didn’t take long for Williamson to narrow down his choices. His announcement came just a day after he tweeted the Red Raiders had granted him his release.
The Rebels could use depth in the backcourt following the departure of senior Stefan Moody and with Rasheed Brooks entering his senior season. Williamson hasn’t named a favorite, but he is from Orlando, Fla., which may give FGCU an edge. Wherever he goes, Williamson will sit out the upcoming season because of NCAA transfer rules.
Have received my release papers from Texas Tech University. I am officially open for recruitment. ??

Williamson signed with Texas Tech as a member of the class of 2015. He played less than seven minutes per game for the Red Raiders as a true freshman.
He was recruited by former Texas Tech head coach Tubby Smith, who left the program to become the head coach at Memphis on April 14. The Red Raiders hired former Arkansas-Little Rock coach Chris Beard the following day.
