Ole Miss may have fallen to 3-3 with its 34-30 loss at Arkansas on Saturday, but that didn’t cost the Rebels their spot in the Amway Coaches Poll, which was released on Sunday afternoon, or the Associated Press Top 25.
The Rebels are No. 22 in the coaches poll and No. 23 in the AP poll, which puts them among elite company. Not many teams have been ranked with a .500 or worse record this late in the season:
Ole Miss is just the 6th team since 1978 to be ranked in the Coaches or AP poll with a record of 3-3 or worse

All three of Ole Miss’ losses have been close. It opened the season with 45-34 loss at Florida State on Sept. 5. The Rebels also fell to Alabama, 48-43, on Sept. 17 before losing to the Razorbacks on Saturday.
