Shea Patterson may be gone, but that doesn’t mean that Ole Miss quarterbacks no longer need protection. The Rebels gained a little more help on that front Monday afternoon when Carter Colquitt announced his commitment via Twitter.

“The process of picking a school was not easy,” Colquitt said in his message. “But God has shown favor and opened up a fantastic opportunity for me.”
Colquitt is the No. 98 ranked player in Georgia and the No. 88 offensive tackle in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports.
He stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 295 pounds. Colquitt also had offers from N.C. State, Purdue, Arkansas, Florida and Auburn.
