It was a rough weekend on the field for Ole Miss, and now Monday brings some more bad news. This time, it’s in the recruiting world.
Four-star linebacker Willie Gay announced via Twitter that he is de-committing from Ole Miss less than 48 hours after the Rebels fell 38-21 at LSU to drop to 3-4 on the season.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Gay is the No. 8 outside linebacker in the Class of 2017. The Starkville High product is the No. 3 player in the state of Mississippi and the No. 123 overall player in the class.
Gay officially visited Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan program over the weekend and is reportedly scheduled to visit Florida State on Saturday. In addition to offers from both schools, Gay also is considered a potential land for the local Mississippi State Bulldogs.
