Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly left Saturday’s game against Georgia Southern with a knee injury in the third quarter.
After the game, Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said the quarterback will be undergoing an MRI on Sunday.
“I have no idea,” Freeze said, according to 247Sports‘ David Robinson. “They’ll have to do an MRI and check it. Everything right now would just be speculation. It’s a knee. They’ll do an MRI tomorrow and we’ll see what that says.”
Kelly had 249 total yards and 3 touchdowns for Rebels in their 37-27 win over Georgia Southern. Kelly is the SEC’s leading passer. The Rebels’ backup is redshirt freshman Jason Pellerin. Next week, Ole Miss takes on Texas A&M in College Station.
