It was a scary sight in Oxford on Saturday night as Ole Miss running back D’Vaughn Pennamon was hit in the right knee and then carted off the field with an air cast on during the Rebels’ game against Texas A&M.
Entering Saturday, the sophomore from Houston has rushed for 195 yards and 2 touchdowns so far this season.
The Aggies defender went low and hit Pennamon in his right leg, causing the leg to bend in a way it usually would not.
The Rebels currently lead the Aggies 28-24 in the fourth quarter.
Update: Ole Miss interim head coach Matt Luke gave an update following the game.
Matt Luke says it’s a dislocated knee for D’Vaughn Pennamon. Could be more damage, but Luke doesn’t know the full extent yet
