Mississippi State is making a serious attempt to flip Ole Miss’ No. 1 commit for 2017.
D.D. Bowie, a 4-star receiver from Morton, Miss., has been committed to the Rebels since October 2015. But that didn’t keep Dan Mullen from taking most of his staff to visit Bowie ahead of National Signing Day next week.

Bowie is the highest-rated player in the 2017 class for Ole Miss. He’s the No. 20 receiver in the country and 130th-ranked overall prospect.
The star receiver took an official visit to Starkville, Miss., last weekend. He is scheduled to take an official visit to Oxford this weekend.
This isn’t the only time Mississippi State has sent an army of coaches to visit a recruit this week. The whole coaching staff visited 4-star Bulldogs running back commit Kylin Hill on Tuesday. And after visiting Bowie, the staff went en masse to visit 3-star DE Aaron Odom, a former Mississippi State commit now pledged to Louisville.
