If you thought Ole Miss recruiting would suffer because of turmoil — including a self-imposed upcoming bowl ban stemming from an ongoing NCAA investigation — it may be time to reconsider your position.
The Rebels already claim 10 members for their 2018 recruiting class, currently more than six other SEC teams, though none of those are ranked above a 3-star level on 247Sports’ composite rankings. And Ole Miss’ class could be getting bigger soon. On Sunday, 4-star receiver Elijah Moore released this top 3 schools, and Hugh Freeze’s Rebels made the cut alongside Ohio State and Miami:

As the 175th-ranked player in the Class of 2018, Moore would become Ole Miss’ top-ranked recruit should he commit. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Moore is considered one of the quickest players in the country and would be a handful in space against any opponent.
According to 247Sports’ crystal ball, the Hurricanes are considered the slight favorite to land Moore, though Ole Miss has closed the gap in recent weeks.
