Ole Miss rises to No. 3 in SEC Country Power Rankings
Following an impressive showing in a 38-17 win against LSU on Saturday, Ole Miss (8-3, 5-2 SEC) jumped to No. 3 in this week’s Official SEC Country Power Poll.
The Rebels received 188 points. Ole Miss trails No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Florida in the poll, but are just six points behind the Gators. Mississippi State, who the Rebels will face Saturday in the Egg Bowl, sits at No. 4.
Ole Miss impressed on a weekend where most teams in the SEC played non-conference games. The Rebels built an early lead against the Tigers and responded when they made a run early in the third quarter.
With the victory against LSU, Ole Miss heads into the regular season finale with a chance to win the SEC West if they defeat Mississippi State and Auburn upsets Alabama.
