Ole Miss will be without a tight end.
On Wednesday, Ole Miss interim coach Matt Luke announced that Octavious Cooley is suspended indefinitely. As reported by The Oxford Eagle’s Davis Potter, Cooley’s suspension came after a violation of team rules. Per Potter, Luke said he expects Cooley to rejoin the team at some point this season.
Cooley played in four games as a true freshman last season as a reserve. The Rebels are trying to replace tight end Evan Engram, who totaled a career-high 926 yards receiving last year.
