Two SEC foes tried to make a favorable last impression on the nation’s top junior college player this week, as Ole Miss and Tennessee visited four-star defensive end Jonathan Kongbo on consecutive days.
Rebels coach Hugh Freeze visited the 6-foot-5, 264-pounder Wednesday, according to tweets sent out by both Freeze and Kongbo, while Vols coach Butch Jones saw the recruit Tuesday.

Kongbo de-committed from Tennessee on Jan. 5, but the Vols have remained among his favorites. Last week, Kongbo narrowed his school choices to Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida State and Southern California.
The Arizona Western College product is scheduled to officially visit the Seminoles this weekend, but you know the two SEC programs, who appear to be the front-runners for Kongbo, are pushing to get him back on their campuses this weekend. Kongbo officially visited the Trojans last weekend, and he took official visits to Ole Miss and Tennessee this fall.
