A former Parade All-America high school guard is transferring from the Ole Miss men’s basketball team after just one season.
J.T. Escobar, a 6-foot-2 freshman, will leave the Rebels after playing in just 17 games last season, according to The Ole Miss Spirit’s Ben Garrett.
Escobar averaged 1.2 points, dished out seven assists and grabbed two rebounds over 81 on-court minutes.
Escobar, a native of Tallahassee, Fla., was a three-star recruit from the Class of 2016. He will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out a season due to NCAA transfer rules.
