The Ole Miss basketball program will be receiving a huge addition for the 2017-18 season.
Drake’s Dominik Olejniczak, a 7-foot center from Poland, will be transferring to the Rebels, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
Olejniczak averaged 6.5 points and 4.1 rebounds during his freshman season for Drake. He also shot 72.2 percent from the field.
He will have to sit out next season because of NCAA transfer rules, but would have three years of eligibility remaining after that.
Olejniczak also had interest in Colorado and California, according to Goodman.
Olejniczak will be the second player from Poland that the Rebels have had in as many years, as Tomasz Gielo played for Andy Kennedy’s squad last season after transferring from Liberty.
