Ole Miss added a commitment Sunday from unranked junior college defensive end Jay Johnson, who will be part of the Rebels’ Class of 2017, according to multiple reports.
Johnson was one of two players on the day that committed to Ole Miss, joining three-star safety AJ Harris. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect is playing for East Mississippi Community College this season after missing last season because of a shoulder injury, The Clarion-Ledger’s Will Sammons reported. Johnson was part of the Rebels’ 2015 recruiting class before academic issues kept him from joining the school.
The Rebels now have 12 players committed for their Class of 2017.
