Eli Manning made a court appearance for a minor traffic infraction. And unfortunately for him, TMZ — who else? — was there to capture the moment.
As reported by TMZ, the former Ole Miss quarterback appeared Wednesday in a New Jersey courtroom, where he was found guilty of driving on the shoulder. Sounds egregious, right?
Per TMZ, Manning was pulled over May 24 after police witnessed him driving on the shoulder of the New Jersey Turnpike. On Wednesday, he appeared in court and was forced to pay $89 for his deed.
In all seriousness, it seems strange that Manning bothered to go to court for this. For someone that famous, why concern himself with an appearance and risk the chance of becoming fodder for TMZ? There’s mail for a reason.
Still, you’ve got to love his casual appearance. It looks like he’s about to hit the Hamptons after this stop in court.
Way to be a good citizen, Eli.
