What’s next for Robert Nkemdiche?
The defensive tackle-turned-receiver-turned-fullback scored his second touchdown in as many games for Ole Miss in the third quarter on Saturday.
Nkemdiche scored his first career rushing touchdown on a 1-yard run to give the Rebels a 42-14 lead over Fresno State with about 10 minutes left in the third quarter.
Last week, he showed that at 6-feet-4, 296 pounds, he might make a top tight end when he caught his first career pass and turned it into a 31-yard touchdown.
“He can run. If you want to put him in a 20-yard sprint, 30-yard sprint, he’s pretty good,” Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said on the weekly SEC teleconference. “I don’t know how good he would be after that, but he looked pretty daunting running down the sideline.”
Of course, Nkemdiche is still playing well for the Landshark defense and also blocked his first field-goal attempt last week.
Robert Nkemdiche will not be stopped! TOUCHDOWN OLE MISS! 42-14 in the 3rd. https://t.co/GJ29H8BJh3
