For Georgia, this is an “ouch” moment in Oxford, Miss.
Ole Miss defensive back Derrick Jones slid in front of a pass from Bulldogs quarterback Jacob Eason and returned it 52 yards for a touchdown, giving the Rebels a 10-0 lead about midway through the first quarter. It marked Ole Miss’ first interception this season, so if you’re going to start late, why not do it big like this?

Ole Miss was one of 13 FBS teams without an interception. Good time to leave that list.

The Rebels are looking good after losing a dramatic game against Alabama last Saturday. This early lead is good, but it remains to be seen if Ole Miss will be able to hold on to this advantage. The Rebels already blew big leads in losses to Florida State and Alabama this season.
