It turns out Robert Nkemdiche isn’t the only Ole miss lineman that can make plays with the ball in his hands.
With mere seconds left in the first half of Friday night’s Sugar Bowl, Ole Miss took a commanding 34-6 lead on an incredibly gutsy — and entertaining — call by Rebels coach Hugh Freeze. It involved quarterback Chad Kelly faking a handoff and dumping a pass off to star offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil in the flat, and it was glorious.
You can watch below how well this play is executed. There’s not an Oklahoma State defender within 10 yards of Tunsil, who strolled into the end zone at his own pace, untouched.
For Tunsil, who is widely projected as a top-10 NFL draft pick, it was a nice highlight to what likely is his last game in a Rebels uniform.
