In less than a month since Missouri introduced Cuonzo Martin as basketball coach, the Tigers generated plenty of recruiting buzz.
On Tuesday, Mizzou got more good news. Jeremiah Tilmon, a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings for the 2017 recruiting class, re-opened his recruitment. Mizzou is considered the favorite to land Tilmon, who dropped his pledge to Illinois. Tilmon is from East St. Louis, Ill., which is Martin’s hometown.

A 6-foot-10, 220-pound center/power forward, Tilmon is a top-30 player among 2017 prospects, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
The Tigers have 3 players in their 2017 recruiting class, which includes the No. 2 overall player.
- Michael Porter Jr., at 6-foot-10 small forward, announced his commitment 4 days after Martin was introduced at Mizzou. Porter was a Washington commit but left after a coaching change. His father is a Martin assistant. Only Auburn prospect DeAndre Ayton is rated higher than Porter.
- Blake Harris, a point guard from Chapel Hill, N.C., announced for the Tigers on Sunday. He is a 6-foot-3 point guard and a top-125 prospect.
- C.J. Roberts, a 3-star pledge from North Richland Hills, Texas, signed with Mizzou in November. He made his decision to play for former coach Kim Anderson and appears likely to stay true to Mizzou.
Martin is trying to help Missouri recover from 3 consecutive losing seasons under Anderson. The Tigers were 2-16 in SEC play last season.
