The early signing period concluded on Friday, but that didn’t stop the Missouri Tigers from adding another member to their 2018 recruiting class on Saturday.
Messiah Swinson, a 3-star tight end prospect from Glen Head, N.Y., committed to the Tigers and coach Barry Odom, according to Sean Williams of Rivals.

Swinson’s measurables make him an enticing product for Missouri and its high-powered offense. The tight end stands 6 foot-8 and 232 pounds, which will make him a huge target in the passing game, a player whom SEC record-setter Drew Lock would love to have at his disposal if he returns for his senior season.
According to 247Sports, Swinson is a 3-star prospect, and Mizzou beat out the likes of Nebraska and Texas A&M for his commitment.
Swinson’s decision brings the total for Missouri’s 2018 recruiting class to 22 commits, ranking 13th in the SEC and 42nd in the country. Sixteen commits signed during the three-day early signing period.
