Recruiting can be a tricky process. Elijah Gardiner had never publicly stated that he wanted to be a member of the Missouri Tigers or given an interview saying as much.
That changed on Sunday night when he tweeted this out:

Gardiner is the Tigers’ 18th commitment in their 2017 recruiting class and a 3-star wide receiver, according to his 247 Sports Composite. He was also fielding offers from Houston and Texas Southern. The senior from Kemp High School in Kemp, Texas, should be able to peak the ball well above his opponents as he stands at 6-foot-5 and 185 pounds.
Gardiner was rated as the No. 110 wide receiver overall and the No. 108 player in the state of Texas. He’s the third wide receiver in Missouri’s 2017 class, joining Roderick Ford and Jafar Armstrong, both of whom are 3-star recruits as well.
