It’s another beautiful Friday in the Show-Me State. Missouri’s bye week continues and much of the staff is on the road checking out high school football games. Thursday offered no shortage of news with the SEC releasing the 2016 schedule.
Here are four things to know:
- Mizzou’s schedule next year is an intriguing one. The Tigers open on the road against West Virginia and will also make their first trip to Death Valley to play LSU. The entire schedule can be found here.
- Quarterback Maty Mauk’s suspension and reinstatement has been a matter of speculation around the SEC. Mizzou coach Gary Pinkel has been very open in his refusal to discuss his quarterback’s disciplinary issues. St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s Joe Strauss questioned the policy in a must read-column.
- Curious as to how many snaps each Mizzou player has played so far in 2015? David Morrison broke it all down here.
- Mizzou hoops scrimmaged Creighton in what was allegedly a lopsided affair. But, for coach Kim Anderson’s inexperienced team, the game was more about playing D-1 competition than the final score wrote Columbia Tribune’s Steve Walentik.
