Missouri defensive back Logan Cheadle has been sidelined with an ankle sprain, but that might all change this week against Middle Tennessee. Head coach Barry Odom said he’s hoping Cheadle will be back in action soon.
“We’re also going back and forth with a couple different ways to tape that ankle,” Odom said during the weekly teleconference. “I expect today he’ll probably look a little better than he did yesterday, and I’m guessing, here in the next 48-72 hours he’s going to be ready to roll.”
The depth the Tigers have in the defensive secondary has helped without Cheadle and will continue to be a big part, as Odom isn’t sure how much Cheadle will play.
“I don’t think he’s going to have the ability to be an every down guy. He looks significantly better than he did last week.”
