Missouri coach Barry Odom wants to see an annual series with Kansas return.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, the Tigers coach said Missouri and the Jayhawks should play “every year in every sport,” as relayed by KTGR’s Jeff Parles. The curiosity about if Odom would be interested in the renewal of the Missouri-Kansas rivalry came a day after the Tigers and Jayhawks met in an exhibition basketball game in Kansas City, Mo., to raise money for hurricane relief.

It would be interesting to see the Missouri-Kansas rivalry return.
Kansas and Missouri were long-time rivals before the Tigers moved to the SEC from the Big 12. The programs haven’t played in football since November 2011. The Tigers won five of the last six games in the series before they moved to the SEC.
It’s unlikely that Kansas and Missouri will meet in either football or basketball each year soon. But we all can dream.
