Baylor four-star running back recruit Kameron Martin has asked for his release from his national letter of intent, just a week before he was to enroll in Waco, Texas, ESPN.com’s Max Olson reports.
And Missouri is reportedly one of the schools that may be interested should he reopen his recruiting.
Martin’s decision comes a day after the suspension of coach Art Briles, who is expected to be dismissed in the wake of questions surrounding the school’s handling of sexual assault investigations involving Bears players. The man who built Baylor from nothing into a national power was suddenly gone in disgrace.
Martin has been committed to Baylor since July 2014, but Briles’ departure has made him open his recruiting back up.
Missouri, Texas and TCU are among the schools who would be reportedly interested if he re-opened his recruiting, Olson reports. Texas A&M was also among the schools Martin considered during his recruitment, according to 247Sports.
