Missouri quarterback Drew Lock is expected by many to be one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC in 2018.
But according to ESPN’s Mel Kiper, the senior could be the best QB prospect in all of college football.
Kiper released his list of top-10 potential prospects for the 2019 class and the list includes six SEC players, including Lock, who was the only quarterback mentioned.
The three-year starter led the SEC with 3,964 yards and 44 touchdowns on 242 of 419 passing in 2017, while leading the Tigers to a 7-6 (4-4 SEC) overall record after missing bowl games during each of the previous two seasons.
“It’s more complicated of an offense, but I do think it’s easier,” Lock told Schiffer. “It was a little more guessing games last year on what I thought receivers were going to run. And this year I have it set in stone what they’re doing every single play. It makes me a lot more comfortable back there. I know exactly what’s going on.”
