Namon Wright will go from one former Big 12 school to another former Big 12 school.
Wright will transfer from Missouri to Colorado, according to Pat Rooney of Buffzone.com.
Wright will have to sit out the 2016-17 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Buffaloes. Wright, originally from Los Angeles, averaged 9.6 points per game and 5.2 rebounds last season with Missouri.
“He’s a ready-made player,” Colorado coach Tad Boyle said. “He had a really good freshman year and had some big games. He probably didn’t play as well as a sophomore but I think he’d be the first guy to admit that.”
Wright is the third player to transfer from Missouri since February. The Tigers finished with 10-21 (3-15) record last year, good for last in the SEC. The Tigers also sat out the SEC Tournament due to violations from the 2013-14 season.
