Former Missouri QB Maty Mauk has denied in an interview with The Associated Press that the video that surfaced early this year that appeared to show him snorting cocaine was really not him, though he was present while the substance was being snorted.
“I put myself in a situation that night and kind of acted like I did it,” Mauk told The Associated Press. “It was one of those situations I wish I could’ve taken myself out of, but I had to learn from it and haven’t been around anything like that for years now.”
Mark, who has transferred to FCS Eastern Kentucky, was dismissed by the Tigers in January after the video surfaced, and also mentioned the video was a few years old. He’s ready to show his new teammates that he’s learned from his mistakes.
“I’ve matured and I’m a hard-working guy that’s going to do whatever it takes to win a national championship here and land in the NFL,” Mauk told The Associated Press.
