Former Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk has graduated, but now it looks like he may have a new playing address — Eastern Kentucky.
Mauk, who was dismissed from the team in January for failing to live up to team standards, updated his Twitter bio with three letters — EKU.
The dismissal came just days after being indefinitely suspended from the team when a controversial video surfaced of a person identified as Mauk, according to the St. Louis Dispatch’s Dave Matter, seemingly snorting a line of white powder.
Tigers coach Barry Odom said in a statement in announcing Mauk’s dismissal that the controversial video was believed to be from a long time ago, and that Mauk’s “failure to live up to expectations in recent weeks was the reason for this decision.”
Eastern Kentucky finished 6-5 last season and is only four hours from his hometown of Kenton, Ohio.
Mauk posted a picture of his graduation on Instagram on Monday, saying he was ready for his next chapter. And that next chapter may come in Richmond, Ky.
