Gary Pinkel on Missouri players’ car accident: “I was scared to death”
Following Missouri’s 9-6 win over UConn, Tigers coach Gary Pinkel was asked about a car wreck involving four of his players.
“I was scared to death,” Pinkel said.
A wreck involving your players is nothing a coach wants to hear. The Tigers involved in the wreck sustained “non-life threatening injuries.”
Defensive lineman Terry Beckner Jr. was in the crash, but played in the game. However, Tigers players DeSean Blair and Keyon Dilosa sat the game out. Trevon Walters, a fourth player in the wreck, didn’t suit up either, but that was expected since he’s recovering from a torn ACL.
