Gary Pinkel: “We have a lot of problems on offense”
UConn could have forced overtime on the road against Missouri with a field goal. Instead, the Huskies elected to pass the ball on a fake field goal. The Tigers intercepted it and escaped with a narrow 9-6 win.
Missouri took a 2-0 lead in the first quarter on a blocked punt that resulted in a safety. The Huskies responded with a rushing touchdown on the next possession, but the extra point was blocked.
The Huskies nursed a 6-2 lead until Missouri QB Maty Mauk scored on a 2-yard touchdown run with just over five minutes left in the third quarter.
