Former Missouri running backs coach Brian Jones has found a new job.
Jones was hired as the running backs coach at Central Methodist, the school announced in a press release on Wednesday.
“We are definitely excited to bring Coach (Brian) Jones on board,” said CMU head football coach David S. Calloway. “He will be a great addition to our program.”
Jones had coached with former Mizzou head coach Gary Pinkel since 1992 and followed Pinkel to Missouri in 2001. He spent 15 seasons at Missouri and has more than 30 years of Division I coaching experience. Most recently, Jones has helped Missouri reach two SEC Championship games in 2013 and 2014.
Pinkel has since retired due to health concerns. Former defensive coordinator Barry Odom is embarking upon his first season as Pinkel’s replacement.
