This is an encouraging tweet if you’re a Missouri fan.
The situation surrounding the future of top recruit Michael Porter Jr. has become dramatic to follow in recent days. On Wednesday, the skilled player confirmed that his father, Michael Porter Sr., had received a job offer from Missouri to be an assistant coach under Cuonzo Martin. The player added that “it’d be big” in his recruitment if his father accepted the role.
Perhaps the older Porter is on his way to Columbia.
Check out the tweet below, which sure looks like a massive hint that Porter’s father could be leaning toward taking that job at Mizzou.

The younger Porter said he is considering Washington, Virginia and Oklahoma. So Missouri fans don’t have to worry about any mixed Tiger signals with the tweet above. Plus, it would seem unnecessary — perhaps even a little cruel — for Porter’s father to publish the Tiger picture for any other reason than to hint that he’s accepting the job.
Landing the older Porter would be a huge step toward securing the services of Michael Porter Jr. This would be a significant win for Missouri if everything unfolds as Tigers fans hope.
