Michael Porter Jr. re-entered Missouri basketball fans’ lives on Sunday, and it could cause some heartache.
The former highly touted prospect, who likely will miss the rest of the season because of surgery, posted a photo that shows him in a comfy situation in a living room of some kind. He included the caption, “Just letting y’all know whoever said it was gonna take 3-4 months to recover lied.”

Of course, Porter was the crown jewel of a much-hyped recruiting class for the Tigers. But Porter requires the operation, which is a microdiscetomy of the L3-L4 spinal discs. The recovery time for the surgery is supposedly 3-4 months.
Certainly, Porter’s brief Missouri career — he played a grand total of 2 minutes this season and is expected to enter the NBA Draft next year — could become a huge what-if for Tigers fans everywhere. The photo above won’t help ease the pain.
