Missouri’s Faurot Field was one giant sad face on Saturday.
Purdue walked into the Tigers’ home and made a mess of the place on its way to building a 35-3 lead in the third quarter. That was after Missouri’s stadium looked almost empty before kickoff.
This entire experience is a rough, rough development for Missouri’s program as the Tigers appear well on their way to dropping to 1-2 this season.
As shown in the photo below by The Kansas City Star’s Vahe Gregorian, Missouri fans had little interest in sticking around until the bitter end. Can you blame them?
Attendance evidently peaked early first quarter — and that wasn't a lot. Here we are mid-third, 35-3 Purdue pic.twitter.com/OwRtwJLy94

Who knows what happens from here for the Tigers under Barry Odom. But the second-year coach might have a problem gaining fan support after an embarrassing start to Missouri’s season.
The sight above is not good at all for him.
